The Asheville Forager is the brainchild and vision of couple Heather and Paddy Collins. After decades in every concept the hospitality industry has to offer, the pair realized they had seen enough food waste for one lifetime.
Like many, the pandemic uprooted the Collinses. And due to Heather's career in the veterinary field, they landed in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. After several other life changes — and a disaster in the mix — the couple had finally found a place to make their aspirations come to fruition.
Following the calamities of Helene, they found the perfect home on the charmingly historical Wall Street. A full family effort ensued: the kids painting and cleaning, Heather refurbishing tables, Paddy equipping a kitchen, and even the dog leaving her prints. The idea of the Forager was finally starting to become a reality.
